Terms of Service
Working draft — pending legal review. Effective on launch.
1. What the service is
RankOutbid is a paid public ranking. You pay to list a business website or X profile and to occupy a rank determined solely by cumulative confirmed payments. Listings are paid advertisements, not endorsements, reviews or editorial rankings. A payment buys placement at whatever rank your cumulative total supports at the moment the payment is confirmed. It does not buy traffic, clicks, customers, revenue, a fixed duration at any rank, search-engine value, or any particular result. Anyone can pay more and outrank you at any time.
2. Business customers only
The service is offered to businesses. By paying you confirm you act for business purposes, have authority to bind the business you represent, are at least 18, and are authorized to list and send visitors to the submitted destination.
3. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe; amounts are in US dollars; applicable taxes may be added at checkout. The ranking service begins as soon as a payment is confirmed: the listing is created or raised and the amount counts on the public board. For that reason all payments are final and non-refundable once the service has begun. Being outranked later, dropping off today's board after 24 hours, receiving fewer clicks than hoped, or a later removal for breach of these terms does not create a refund. Chargebacks without legal basis are a breach of these terms and may lead to removal and refusal of future service.
4. Your warranties
You warrant that your listing and its destination are lawful, accurate, not misleading, not infringing, not malware/phishing/a scam, and that you are not impersonating anyone or bidding on a destination you are not authorized to represent.
5. Prohibited listings
Adult content; chat/invite links; link shorteners; illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, hateful or violent content; counterfeit or infringing offers; regulated offers you are not licensed to make; and any interference with the service (scraping beyond ordinary browsing, click manipulation, automated bidding without written permission).
6. Our rights
We may refuse, edit, recategorize, suspend, hide or remove any listing at any time, with or without notice, where we reasonably believe these terms, the rules or the law may be broken, where a rights holder complains, or where a listing creates legal, security or reputational risk. Removal does not entitle you to a refund. We may change features, thresholds and ranking mechanics; the ranking rule itself (highest cumulative total ranks first) will not change retroactively.
7. Third-party material
To operate the board we fetch and display public information about listed destinations (names, titles, descriptions, logos, favicons). It is used only to identify the listed product or profile and to operate and moderate the service. Rights holders can request removal via the imprint contact.
8. Liability
The service is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
